When to call us about electrical repair

If you're seeing any of the symptoms listed here, don't wait for it to get worse. Small RV problems become expensive RV problems faster than most owners expect — especially anything involving water.

Our service call fee of $150 covers travel and a complete diagnostic. You'll get a clear explanation and a firm repair quote before we begin any work.

*One hour minimum labor charge required with all service calls. Contact us for current labor rates.

We measure it. We don’t guess at it.

Electrical faults get expensive when they are diagnosed by swapping parts until the symptom disappears. Every part swapped that way is one you paid for and did not need.

Testing actual current draw against what the circuit should be pulling tells us where the fault really is — a failing component, a bad connection, or a circuit that was never right to begin with.

It takes longer than guessing. It costs less than guessing.

Custom Victron Inverter & Solar Systems

Designed for how you actually camp, not sold off a shelf.

  • Full Victron system design — MultiPlus-II inverter/chargers, Cerbo GX monitoring, SmartSolar MPPT controllers
  • Lithium battery banks sized to your real power use
  • Rooftop solar arrays, wiring and roof penetrations sealed properly
  • DC-DC alternator charging so you charge while you drive
  • Surge protection and shore power management
  • Remote monitoring — see the whole system from your phone
  • Upgrades and expansion of existing solar and inverter setups

Why we build with Victron

Because it is one system rather than a shelf of unrelated parts. The inverter, the solar controller, the DC-DC charger and the monitoring all talk to each other, so the system manages itself sensibly and you can actually see what it is doing.

It also means it can grow. Add panels or another battery in two years and the rest of the system absorbs it — no rebuild.

Every build starts with the same question: what do you actually run, and for how long? A system sized off that will cost less and disappoint you less than one sized off a brochure.

Our service call fee of $150 covers travel and a complete assessment. Full system builds are quoted per job.

*One hour minimum labor charge required with all service calls. Contact us for current labor rates.

A real A/C service call — before, during, after

Weak cooling on a rooftop unit. No parts needed — the coil was completely blocked.

Before: the coil we found
Before: the coil we foundPacked solid with dirt and debris. Air cannot pass through this, so the unit runs constantly and still will not cool.
Foaming coil cleaner applied

After: same coil, 30 minutes later
After: same coil, 30 minutes laterFins clear and airflow restored. Same unit, same day, no parts replaced.

A different job: Furrion Chill Cube upgrade

Not the same unit as the coil above — a separate RV, and a replacement rather than a service.

Cooling hard on the new unit

Furrion Chill Cube in place

Worth knowing: a large share of “my A/C is dying” calls turn out to be a blocked coil or a dirty filter, not a failed unit — a service call rather than a replacement. Sometimes the unit really has had it, and then a modern replacement like the Furrion Chill Cube is a genuine upgrade rather than a like-for-like swap. We will tell you which of the two you are looking at before you spend anything.

RV Appliance Service

Refrigerators, ranges, and everything in between.

  • Absorption and 12V refrigerator diagnostics — including Everchill
  • Cooling unit assessment and replacement
  • Microwave, cooktop, and oven repair
  • Washer/dryer and dishwasher hookups
  • LP gas system testing and regulator service

A real appliance diagnostic — Everchill 12V refrigerator

A fridge that had stopped cooling. The compressor was fine; the defrost sensor was not.

Frost built up across the evaporator coil of an Everchill 12V RV refrigerator with a failed defrost sensor
The evaporator, iced overFrost packed between the fins and running back along the lines. The defrost sensor on this Everchill had failed, so the defrost cycle never ran.

Once ice bridges the evaporator fins, air stops passing through the coil. The fridge then behaves exactly like one with a dying compressor — it runs constantly, it will not hold temperature, and the freezer side often looks fine while the fresh food side climbs.

It is worth knowing the difference, because the two repairs are not remotely the same size. A sensor is a part and an afternoon. A sealed system is a new refrigerator.

The tell is what you are looking at here: heavy, uneven frost on the coil itself rather than a light even dusting. If yours has stopped cooling, pull the interior cover before you accept a quote for a new unit.

Roof, Seals & Exterior

The single best way to protect your RV's value.

  • Full roof inspection and condition report
  • Full on-site roof replacement — done where your RV sits, no shop visit (see a real job)
  • Reseal of roof seams, vents, and skylights
  • Sidewall, window, and slide-out seal replacement
  • Water damage assessment and repair
  • Awning repair and replacement

Fiberglass, Paint & Body Repair

Damage to the outside of your RV, repaired where it sits.

  • Fiberglass crack, hole, and puncture repair
  • Delamination assessment and repair
  • Gelcoat repair and color matching
  • Paint and refinishing work
  • Panel, trim, and body damage repair
  • Insurance and hail damage repair

When to call us about fiberglass, paint & body

Tree damage, hail, a low branch, a tight turn against a post, or a soft patch of sidewall that has started to bubble. Fiberglass damage rarely stays cosmetic for long — once water gets behind the outer skin, the repair gets considerably bigger.

Body work is quoted per job rather than off a price list, because two dents that look alike can be very different underneath. We’ll look at it, tell you honestly what it needs, and price it before anything starts.

Impact damage, repaired and refinished

A sidewall torn open below the window, rebuilt structurally and refinished on site. Damage through to finished, photographed at every stage.

Slide-Outs & Leveling Systems

Mechanical systems that have to work every single trip.

  • Slide-out adjustment, lubrication, and motor repair
  • Slide-out room alignment and seal fitment
  • Leveling jack and landing gear service
  • Automatic and manual leveling system diagnostics
  • Hydraulic and electric leveling repair

What we don’t do: we are an RV service company, not a chassis shop. Brakes, bearings, axles, suspension and tires are outside what we take on — we’d rather point you to someone who does that work every day than do it occasionally.

Slide floor rot, and what fixing it takes

The most common serious slide problem, and the one owners spot last. Any rot means the whole floor is replaced — every time. Three real jobs, all done on site with the room still on the RV.

Service call fee

Collected when you schedule. Covers travel to your location anywhere in our service area plus a complete diagnostic of the issue. Repair labor and parts are quoted separately after diagnosis — and never charged without your approval.

We collect the service call fee at booking for one simple reason: it protects the appointment slot for customers who genuinely need us, which is how we're able to keep same-week availability open for emergencies. If we can't make your scheduled window, you're refunded in full.

Insurance & warranty work

We work with insurance claims, with most extended warranties and service contracts, and we carry out factory warranty work for select manufacturers.

Storm, hail and water damage in particular is very often an insurance claim rather than a repair bill — and on a job the size of a roof replacement, that difference is worth finding out about before you pay.

Tell us who covers you when you book, and bring your policy or contract number to the appointment. We’ll tell you honestly how the claim is likely to be handled and what, if anything, is likely to fall to you.
